Tour Package Itinerary

Day 1
Madrid - Evening transport to the Gran Vía district.

Welcome to Madrid! Upon arrival at the airport, we shall be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Check the informative panels in the hotel reception area for the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers to receive information about the circuit. Towards the end of the day, we provide transfers to the Egyptian Debod temple, Plaza de Es­paña and Gran Via; a vibrant district where you can dine at your preferred restaurant: Indian, Chinese, Spanish and Middle Eastern are some of the options.

Day 2
Madrid - Madrid city tour. Stroll through the Retiro Park. Visit to the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas bullring. Night transfer .

The day starts about 08.30 hrs with a comprehensive tour through the centre of Madrid including Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcalá, Plaza de Colón and Plaza Mayor. Visit to Retiro Park, an oasis in the city centre, where we will see the lake and the Glass Palace. Admission to Las Ventas Bullring included. This is one of the most famous bullrings in the world where we will learn about the tradition of “corridas” in the Bullfighting Museum. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon. At sunset we provide a transfer to Plaza de Oriente, opposite the Royal Palace, an elegant and bustling area with many restaurants serving different exquisite cuisines (Indian, Middle Eastern, Muslim, Spanish, International) in which to enjoy a pleasant dinner. Return to hotel.

Day 3
Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Montserrat - Barcelona - Basílica del Pilar. Visit to a medieval monastery. Ride on a rack train.

We depart early in the morning from Madrid. Heading towards Aragón, we pause our journey in ZARAGOZA. Our guide will join the group to Basílica del Pi­lar. Afterwards the group will have free time to visit this impressive sanctuary and enjoy the city centre. Later, we make our way to Cataluña to the Monastery of Poblet, surrounded by walls in a beautiful setting, this is one of the best preserved medieval monasteries in the world (entrance and guided tour included). We then go on to the Monastery of Montserrat where we include a ride on the rack train for the fantastic views this gives. Continuation to BARCELONA, arrival in the late afternoon. Important note: in the winter months, from November to March (both included), due to the shorter days, the Monastery of Poblet will not be visited (so that we can reach Montserrat in the daylight)

Day 4
Barcelona - Barcelona city tour. “Spanish Village” visit and evening transfer to Las Ramblas district.

Today we will get to know Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Medi­terranean Sea. Our visit includes an informative city tour with a local expert (note: If the group has fewer than fifteen people, explanations can be given by our guide.) We also visit the city’s historic central area with its Gothic neigh­bourhood dating back to the Middle Ages. We will visit the area where the Olympic Games took place. It will be possible to see and photograph La Sagrada Fa­milia basilica; the masterpiece designed by the architect Gaudí. Subsequently, we include the entry ticket to “Poble Espanyol” (meaning “Spanish Village”). This open air architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Be delighted by the best Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different communities in Spain. Free time to explore the city on your own. In the evening we provide transfer to Las Ramblas and Plaza Cata­lunya area, where you can select from a great variety of restaurants (including Indian, Chinese, Halal, International and regional Spanish cuisine). Return to hotel.

Day 5
Barcelona - Paris - We will travel on a high-speed train.

After breakfast we arrange a transfer (included) to the train station. We travel on a high-speed train. (Note: A guide will only travel on the train ride if the group is over 15 passengers.) The train is quite comfortable and it is an enjoyable trip through wonderful landscapes. On several occasions our train will reach speeds of around 300 km/h (186 m/h). The train journey takes 6½ hours. Arrival in Paris and transfer to the hotel. At the end of the evening, we provide transfer to the Montmartre dis­trict. This neighborhood is known for its painters, artists, and its cab­arets… Sit down to dinner and enjoy a magical night. You can choose between Indian, Chinese, French and American cuisines. We will ascend by cable car to the hill and admire the spectacular view of Paris from the top. Return to hotel.

Day 6
Paris - City tour in Paris. Climb to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. Boat ride along the Seine. Evening transfer.

A scenic guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and the breathtaking monuments of Paris. We end the visit at the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket admission included). End your visit with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose. Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different moment of the day (or Monday). At sunset transfer to the “Quartier Latin”, a very picturesque area of the historic centre where you can enjoy dinner with a wide variety of international cuisines. Return to hotel.

Day 7
Paris - Free time in the City of Light.

We go to the centre of Paris, to the area of the Louvre Museum. Free time. If you wish we can accompany you to Benlux, one of the most complete and best-known perfumeries in Paris. Rest of the day free. It will be offered for travelers who are interested, an optional excursion to enjoy in Eurodisney.

Day 8
Paris - Noyers - Beaune - Lyon - Vineyards in Beaune and Bourgogne region.

We travel to the centre of France to the Bourgogne region, famous for its wines. A stop in NOYERS, a small medieval town classified amongst the prettiest places in France. After this we will visit BEAUNE in the centre of the Bourgogne region where its streets full of flowers, its hospice and its wine museum can be reminders of your trip. Time for lunch. LYON – Arrival mid-afternoon to the capital of Roman Gallia on the banks of the Rhône, its historic centre has been declared a World Heritage site. Free time.

Day 9
Lyon - Geneva - Zurich - Swiss Landscapes. Centre of Geneva.

We have a beautiful stage. We travel to Switzerland. GENEVA, arrival. With our guide, go to the Palais des Nations (the United Nations headquarters in Europe) and then to the beautiful “Jardin Anglais” with its flower clock, and admire the “Jet d’Eau”, the tallest fountain in Europe. After lunch, we will continue through Switzerland passing the beautiful Leman and Neuchatel Lakes.Note: depending on the number of travellers from Geneva to Zurich, this trip might be done by train.

Day 10
Zurich - Rapperswil - Zurich - Boat trip across Zurich lake. Journey by train.

With our guide, we will stroll in the most populated city of Switzerland, the financial and cultural capital of the country. The city of banks has twice been declared the city with the best quality of life in the world. After this we will board a boat for a trip lasting almost two hours on Zurich lake. The boat makes brief stops, allowing us to admire the villages on the way. We get off in RAPPERSWIL, a small and highly picturesque village overlooked by its medieval castle. We return to Zurich by train, and will see the efficiency and punctuality of the Swiss Railways. Enjoy an evening in the historic centre, next to the lake, where you can dine at your favorite restaurant (Indian, Oriental, Italian, International, Swiss, etc.).

Day 11
Zurich - Grindelwald - Lucerne - Zurich - Admire the fantastic landscapes. Cable car included to Grindelwald first. Lunch included.

Today´s stage has beautiful landscapes with high mountains and lakes. Breathtaking scenery in the region of Interlaken. GRINDELWALD where we will have time for a coffee before taking the cable car (ticket included) up to Grindelwald first. We will walk along the path (30 minutes) in which we shall be able to take the "footbridge over the empty" among the fantastic scenery enjoying glaciers around us. Lunch included (vegetarian option available). After that we continue to LUCERNE, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. Time at the end of the day to stroll, enjoy the city and dine before returning to the hotel in Zurich.

Day 12
Zurich - Burglen - Morcote - Milan - We will know the town of William Tell. Pictoresque villages as Morcote. Shores of Como.

We travel to BURGLEN, the tiny village where William Tell was born, we shall see the chapel of the XVI century with paintings illustrating his life. Afterwards we reach the enchanting little town of MORCOTE, with its houses made of stone, and covered with flowers. We enter Italy and stop in COMO, on the shores of its lake. The city highlights the Gothic Cathedral. Arrival in MILAN where our guide will take us to the impressive Duomo Square. There will be time to dine in a variety of restaurants that can be found serving Swiss and Italian food but also French, Chinese and international food. Transfer to hotel.

Day 13
Milan - Pisa - Rome - Coast of Liguria, Leaning Tower of Pisa.

We continue towards PISA. On a little tourist train we will travel to the Piazza Dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), where there will be time to admire one of the most alluring and beautiful art complexes in Italy, including the well known Leaning Tower of Pisa. Then, we continue to Rome, arriving at the end of the afternoon.

Day 14
Rome - City tour of Rome. Roman Coliseum (admission price included) and Vatican City.

In the morning, we have a scenic tour of the city, which will be a great introduction to “The Eternal city”. We enter the tiny state of the Vatican. The Vatican City is a principal centre of Christianity in the world. You will be able to visit St. Peter’s Basilica. And we have also included admission to the Roman Coliseum, the principal symbol of Rome. This impressive con­struction dates back 2,000 years and will transport us in time so that we can learn about ancient society in the Roman Empire. In the evening we provide transport to the Via Cavour area, where you will find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese and interna­tional food. Return to hotel.

Terms & Conditions

SERVICES 

The services are provided by the associates of Tripcultr. Tripcultr is not responsible for the consequences or circumstances arising from services that are not provided by our company (flight disruptions, loss or damage of luggage on flights, problems at borders/customs or those related to personal documentation, delay in tours and activities beyond our control etc.).

CANCELLATIONS 

The customer has to send a mail to support@tripcultr.com to cancel the booking. Once a booking is successfully cancelled you will receive a mail confirmation. The customer may cancel the requested or booked services at any time, whereby they are entitled to a refund for the paid amount, but must compensate the agency, except in cases of force majeure, as per the following: The processing costs plus the cancellation cost, if these have been incurred, once the journey has been confirmed by Tripcultr and regardless of the departure date.

No shows at the start of the trip, without prior cancellation, will not be entitled to any refund (except force majeure cases, which will be examined on a case by case basis).

  • In the event that the cancellation prior to the trip is produced by justified and demonstrable cases of force majeure, only the costs of processing and services that cannot be cancelled will be charged, as well as the costs that must be absorbed by other suppliers (transfer on arrival, hotel in first city stay in the absence of prior notice, etc.). We recommend buying an insurance policy with the company of your choice, covering the cancellation costs in all cases.
  • In the event that, during the tour, a customer has to cancel their tour for reasons of force majeure, they will be entitled to a refund proportionally to the paid amount / time not used. The processing fees and expenses incurred will be charged in all cases. In order to calculate this amount, only the services provided by Tripcultr and its associates will be taken into account.

CHANGES 

Changes made to a confirmed booking prior to the start of a trip are subject to a penalty equivalent to the processing fees that are listed in the cancellation section.

NON-ADMITTANCE OF PASSENGERS 

Tripcultr reserves the right to suspend any tour for passengers whose physical and/or mental conditions make their participation in it very difficult or dangerous to themselves or others.

Tripcultr likewise reserves the right to exclude passengers who significantly disrupt the smooth-running of the trip.

Tripcultr cannot assume any responsibility in relation to the difficulty or impossibility that the said passenger may encounter in undertaking the activities planned for the tour package, nor can Tripcultr assume any responsibility for providing assistance for their continuation of the trip.

GUARANTEED DEPARTURES 

This tour is a guaranteed departure, although in extremely limited cases, it could transpire that Tripcultr is unable to operate a given departure. In these cases Tripcultr will provide the same trip on an earlier or later date than the one chosen or another trip with similar features vis-à-vis duration and route, and offer, by way of compensation, a reduction of 50% on the value of the aforementioned journey. Cancellations of guaranteed departures may arise (without compensation or liability on behalf of Tripcultr) in cases of exceptional unforeseen circumstances - among others - wartime conflicts, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, epidemics and economic circumstances that generate a very significant drop in the expected sales.

EMERGENCY TELEPHONE 

In the event that an emergency arises during the tour, the passenger should inform as soon as possible the accompanying tour guide. Furthermore, Tripcultr provides a 24 hour emergency telephone service according to the destination country for urgent and important matters, which passengers can use, and details can be found on their voucher. Non urgent matters will not be dealt with on these calls, and nor will they respond to questions that do not relate to emergencies enroute (reservations, rates, questions about availability, etc.).

TRAVEL INSURANCE 

Tripcultr advises all its clients to take out additional insurance with additional cover than the one included in our selected tours.

COMPLAINTS 

In the event of any breach of the contracted services, Tripcultr requests all clients’ to mail us on support@tripcultr.com.

Tripcultr guarantees that it will respond to all written complaints that are received within 40 days following the date that the trip is completed. Tripcultr will not deal with complaints that are received after the specified date, given the difficulty of making appropriate inquiries after a long period of time has elapsed.

REFUND:

The Company reserves the right to determine the quantum of refund payable in case of cancellation or amendment of a Tour due to Force Majeure or Vis Majeure.   • To accept any alternative Tour, which the Company may offer; or
  • To unconditionally accept the return of the tour cost charges (after deduction of the actual expenses incurred by us on your booking like visa, insurance premium, ticket voiding charges, POE charges and other overheads as applicable from case to case) in full and final settlement and the Company shall not be liable / responsible to pay the Client, compensation, consequential loss, damages, additional expenses or interest charges over and above as is computed by the Company as per these Terms & Conditions.
